In GET WITH THE PROGRAM! Guide to GOOD EATING, a companion book to his original book GET WITH THE PROGRAM, Bob Greene gives great, practical advice for anyone wanting to learn a healthy lifestyle, which would more than likely result in the loss of a few pounds.  He is straight forward, shares funny antidotes, which are easy to relate with, and which kept this readers attention. This book focused on the healthy eating habits someone trying to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle needs. It also reminded us that we need to be active along with eating healthy.

The book contained some great, easy to prepare, delicious recipes, along with some that are a little more complicated, for those more adventurous chefs. A few recipes had ingredients that would be difficult for this small-town girl to obtain, but are easy enough to substitute.

I'm not a dieter...I don't have the will power to try, but I am a believer that in order for people to loose weight they need to change their lifestyle and habits, for the long term, not to deprive oneself, but to enjoy all foods in MODERATION. I look forward to following Mr. Greene's advice as I work to change some of my eating and exercising habits.
